Custom Baritone Ukulele Construction U83, part 2
Each custom Lichty ukulele is a one-of-a-kind. What distinguishes one from another? Every unique set of wood has its own story to tell and each custom instrument reflects a blend of body style, woods and appointments that are carefully chosen by the musician ordering the instrument with Jay’s input. There is an alchemy born of creatively, spirit and collaboration between luthier and customer. That process is just one of the many things that keeps a smile on Jay’s face and that makes his career as a luthier so personally rewarding.
The myrtlewood ukulele currently on the bench is a great example of that creative collaboration.
