Japanese Award-Winning Guitarist Shohei Toyoda Comes to Tryon
We are super excited to share news about an evening of great music coming up. Shohei Toyoda from Kyoto, Japan will be making a stop in Tryon on his 2018 US tour. On his previous stops in past years we’ve packed house concerts. This time around we are taking our popular House Concert series to town! On July 5th Shohei will be performing a special concert at The Depot in Tryon. We hope you will join us!
Shohei is a graduate of the Berklee College of Music and as a world-touring musician he has won many prestigious awards. These include First Prize and Best Arrangement Award at Japan’s National Finger-Picking Guitar Contest and The Grand Champion of the “Home of the Legends” International Thumb-Picking Contest in Mulenburg, Kentucky.
For those of you who have enjoyed getting to know Shohei and his music from past Tryon concerts you know that he just keeps getting better and better. We’re not really sure how he does that but it makes for a great show each time we see him.
An extra bonus for the night – Jay will be joining Shohei for a few tunes as well!
Here are the details for the upcoming show –
