Capital at Play magazine features story on Lichty Guitars
The background … before the ink hit the page …
I remember the first time I picked up a copy of Capital at Play. I was waiting for my session at a local physical therapy office a couple years ago. Tucked between the Southern Living and People in the magazine rack something different caught my eye. I am not sure if it was the cover image or the title (well, I imagine it was both) that cried out – this one is different! I had never seen the publication and I was in for a real treat. I loved it. The publication blends smart stories about savvy enthrepreneurs and business people with in-depth stories about loving life, about the arts, the outdoors and more. It is a brilliant combination and I have come to learn that the content is consistently top-notch. That first time I read it I thought, man, this would be a great publication to do a feature on Lichty Guitars!
Fast forward a couple years and to a phone call Jay got from Oby (Harley) Morgan, the publisher and editor of Capital at Play. He wanted to come down to meet us regarding a potential story. When he walked into our shop we knew immediately that he had something special going on. No wonder the magazine is so damn good with this guy behind it, was our first thought. We’ve now gone back and read many past issues and as subscribers we look forward to reading each issue cover to cover.
On to the story …
Accidental Luthier – Capital at Play magazine features story on the couple behind Lichty Guitars – Feb 2014 issue
We are honored and humbled by the Feb 2014 article in Capital at Play on Lichty Guitars titled Accidental Luthier. They came at the story from the perspective of the contribution Jay and I both make to the business, highlighting what makes us such a great team. The piece was beautifully written by Anna Raddatz and the photos by Anthony Harden brought huge smiles to our faces. (They even featured several of my photographs). It is just a lovely piece that captures the heart and spirit that is Lichty Guitars. Thank you Capital at Play!
You can read the entire article by picking up a free copy (see their map of pick-up locations) or by subscribing online.
