John Thomas Guitar – Strings Go On!
In just 5 1/2 days John Thomas, field editor of Fretboard Journal, built his first guitar here at Lichty Guitars. We seem to all be in agreement that our time together in the shop – me behind the camera, Jay with his mentor cap on and John saddled up to the luthier bench kicking up serious dust storms – was truly memorable. In John’s words … “moving, beautiful and joyous.” That sums it up! That John’s guitar came to life in such a wonderful way meant the finished instrument was destined to be great. As you listen to this beauty and look at the images that follow I dare say it might take your breath away.
John is a brilliant writer/storyteller and he captured the experience via daily posts to Fretboard Journal. We invite you to look back and to read his entries from the beginning.
