WSPA Lichty Guitar Feature
Reporter, Rich Klindworth of WSPA came by the shop today and Jay and Lichty Guitars ended up on the evening news …
In order to survive in this economy, many people have to reinvent themselves so that they have work. For one area contractor, that means building something smaller.
Jay Lichty of Tryon used to build homes that would sell for up to a half-a-million dollars. In this economy, building homes has dried up, so he’s building guitars and ukuleles. He is combining his love for music and his craftsmanship.
So far, so good, Jay’s got a small waiting list for his guitars and a member of the band Fountains of Wayne, a national band, will soon be using one of his guitars.
