Every once in a while in between custom orders, Jay cuts loose in the luthier shop and builds, driven by his own creative visions. This baritone Brazilian Rosewood ukulele is a great example.
Features: Brazilian Rosewood back, sides and fretboard (This is one of the most beautiful / most colorful sets we have come across!), Spruce top, Ebony bridge, Snakewood rosette, end graph, headplate, Cocobolo binding.
What is interesting about this combination is that each detail stands out. The Brazilian Rosewood is knock-out...

How are acoustic guitars made?
Folks often ask Jay, "How are acoustic guitars made?"
We'd love to say it is all trade-secrets but it is a simple (though not easy) formula of expert skill as a craftsman, a tremendous eye for detail, a love of the wood, a love of music and a willingness to follow his calling. We invite you to step into Jay's shop to get a glimpse of the step by steps of how a guitar is made.
The best way to do this is to view two videos (one old / one new) that feature step by step images of building acoustic guitars.
