The majority of our instruments are designed and crafted to order for our customers, but there is good news for folks who would like to buy a handmade acoustic guitar that is available for delivery immediately. Jay occasionally takes time from building custom made acoustic guitars to build instruments for general sale and because there is no “standard Lichty model” each is a one-of-a-kind treasure. On this page you’ll find the acoustic guitars we currently have for sale. If you are interested in buying a ukulele we invite you to click over to our Handmade ukuleles currently for Sale page.
Perhaps you are shopping for a custom guitar builder to work with you to design and build your dream guitar. This page is actually a great place to start, as well. You can browse the handmade acoustic guitars for sale to get ideas for your custom design. Too, check out our Acoustic Guitar Photo page to see more guitars, ukuleles, custom rosettes, headplates, etc and look to our Acoustic Guitar Wood page to see our extensive collection of premium woods to choose from. Then head to “Customize Your Own Guitar” for next steps.

When I asked Lichty if there was a secret to making such remarkable handmade acoustic guitars, he said there was. Wayne Henderson, who has become a friend and mentor, once told him to make the inside just as beautiful as the outside – “as if that’s the part everyone is going to be looking at.” If that isn’t a good philosophy about how to make things right, then I don’t know what is. – editorial by Sid Evans, former VP & Editor Garden and Gun magazine
