Ukulele Master Kimo Hussey comes to the Carolinas!

- Friday November 6th, 2015 – Asheville Workshop – 6:oo-8:30PM
- Saturday November 7th – Charlotte, NC – Workshop & Concert – 2:30-6:30PM
- Sunday November 8th – Kimo Hussey and Zanuck Lindsey give free community concert with special guest Jay Lichty – Tryon NC 7:00-9:00 / doors open at 6:00 for a social hour with light refreshments. Beer and wine will be available for purchase. This concert is sponsored by Lichty Guitars and the organizers of TEDxTryon as a thank you for the amazing support from our community for the first foothills TEDxTryon event.

Kimo Hussey is a much-sought after performer and teacher, traveling internationally to ukulele festivals and workshops around the world. More about Zanuck – Zanuck Lindsey has been a professional musician, bandleader, teacher, composer, producer, and contractor for 30+ years. He has traveled extensively, performing internationally. A few highlights include performances at the Hollywood Bowl, Carnegie Hall, Irvine Meadows, Shoreline Amphitheater, Aloha Stadium and the Oneness Center in Golden City, India to mention a few.

The first stop on his UKE Carolinas Tour is in Asheville where he will give a ukulele playing workshop. This event is hosted by the Asheville Ukulele Strummers. Here is your chance to learn from and to be inspired by the best! All levels welcome. Kimo will be sharing unique techniques developed over decades of playing. Too, Kimo brings home the importance of playing to your instrument and letting your instrument’s unique voice lead the way. With Special Guest Jay Lichty. The workshop will be followed by a short concert.
