Custom Ukulele Review, U58 Cocobolo Baritone Ukulele
When our customers take time to share their excitement about their new instrument it makes our day, especially when so many instruments are shipped out. In that event, we are not there when the case is opened up that first time and those first chords are played.

I LOVE this baritone UKULELE!!! Honestly, the instrument is so gorgeous! I just enjoy the feel of running my fingers all over it and the way the colors in the abalone shift as you tilt the ukulele. The photos were good, but really didn’t do it justice. The colors and marvelous grain are absolutely beautiful and blend wonderfully together. The fit and finish of this instrument are wonderful- so smooth, with tight joints and no glue or finish blemishes anywhere! The braces are so delicate and thin. But it’s the sound that is the most wonderful of all! You really did an outstanding job, Jay, and I truly appreciate the effort and resulting high quality.
Thank you, too, for all your help with choices, etc. The case will do nicely, and the green lining goes well with the abalone. And, I like the side soundport!! It really does make a difference in the volume and that’s especially good for me, as I tend to play softly much of the time. And even the instrument’s size is cool!! Not too big, not too small, but just right! Comfortable! The action is wonderful; the intonation is perfect!!
I am going to have such a wonderful time really getting to know her and I have no doubt she’ll inspire me to stretch my playing beyond the current plateau because she is so easy to play! I just wiped her off with the soft cloth you included (that’s a nice touch- thank you), and have tucked her into her comfortable case to let her a rest for a bit. I have been practicing Shenandoah, one of my favorite tunes.
From the included paperwork, to the CD, to the humidifier, to the use of decomposing packing peanuts you are a class act!! Jay, truly, I couldn’t possibly be more pleased! I am delighted! – Martha Carlisle, custom baritone ukulele owner
