Long Neck Tenor Ukulele Construction, Asian Rosewood, U54
The long neck Lichty tenor ukulele offers an incredible sounding ukulele that feels great in your hands and offers an ease of playability. This design reflects one of Jay’s latest innovation from our luthier shop. He was so pleased with the results that he claimed the very first long neck ukulele as his own and he plays it every day. He combined Asian rosewood with redwood and bloodwood binding and the combination is breath-taking in every way!
For this custom project Jay is combining all of the elements of the first long neck and is also incorporating one of his favorite woods, cocobolo, for the sides.
Features: Tenor body with a 19″ (rather than the typical 17″) scale neck. Asian Rosewood back, cocobolo sides and headplate, Curly Redwood top, mahogany neck, ebony radiused fretboard with bloodwood binding, ebony bridge, bloodwood body binding, slotted headstock, side soundport, Paua Abalone rosette, K&K pick-up
