“The guitar is the most enduring icon in American history, and is the world’s most popular instrument. The National GUITAR Museum is the world’s first museum dedicated to the history, cultural impact, and excitement of the guitar.
We celebrate everything about the guitar: the way it’s made, the way it’s played. This Museum is for the people who play the guitar, the people who make the guitar, and the people who love its music.
We are launching our Touring Exhibition called “GUITAR: The Instrument That Rocked The World” this year. The first national stop on the tour is Orlando, Florida and it opens on June 11, 2011, and runs until September 2011.
At the completion of the tour, one U.S. city will be chosen to become the permanent home of the Museum.”
